WorkingDecoys.net's goal is to provide waterfowlers with a single resource to enable them to start customizing or making their own decoys. You will get a great amount of enjoyment by making decoys in the off season and seeing birds locked up over your own decoys during the season.
There are a lot of reasons to make your own decoys, here are a few:
• Variability in your decoy spread
• Something to do in the off season
• The joy of seeing birds work to your creations
• Testing your artistic ability
We are here to help you take the guesswork and trial and error out of decoy making. If you have a question that is not answered elsewhere on the site, then join the forum and ask. We all started somewhere, and our goal is to make the forum a place where all decoy making questions are welcome.
We also offer a number of products from injection molded plastic decoy heads to custom decoy molds to help you build your own custom decoy spread. If you do not see a product that you are interested in, ask and we may be able to add it to our offering. If you are looking for a specific species of decoy that we do not have listed, we will work with you to develop it.
Our custom molds are a great place to start making your own decoys. If you are interested in learning to carve your own foam decoys, then check out our Foam Decoy Carving book. It consolidates all the information you need to get started and removes all the guesswork. Our WorkingDecoys.Net Forum is a great place to learn and share information with other decoy carvers.
